Archangel Hill – Etna
A tin toy train trundles slowly by
through a quiet pastoral scene
sheep graze in the distance
on a hill that’s grassy green.
That’s Mount Caburn in the background
known by some as Archangel Hill
rising from the Sussex Downs
an iron-age hillfort still.
Let’s go away just me and you
on this train with a downland view
away from the cruel things people do
on this toy train, just us two.
